Trauma Informed Care
Trauma Informed Care is an Orchard Place treatment approach that includes understanding, recognizing and responding to the effects of all types of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children and teens. It emphasizes physical, psychological and emotional safety for both children and providers and helps survivors rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.
We are dedicated to raising public awareness of the scope and serious impact of post-traumatic stress on the safe and healthy development of children. We share a commitment to help build strong futures for each and every child in Iowa.
